Please note that, in line with section 5.24 of the CPBS Breeding Programme and EU Regulation 2016/1012, we may only inspect animals within our geographical region (the island of Ireland).

Spaces are limited and allocated on a first‑come, first‑served basis, so early application is advised.

Geldings must attend the Filly/Mare inspection to be measured and subsequently classified based on that measurement.

The CPBS has extended the amnesty until the end of the Autumn 2029 inspections, allowing eligible ponies to continue to be presented and classified under the Studbook Rules.

All applications must now be submitted through cpbsonline.ie. Paper forms will not be issued. Our staff are available to assist you with the online process.

Below, you will find instructions and an overview of the benefits of the CPBS Online system, including step‑by‑step guidance on creating an account and linking it with your unique PIN.

Setting Up Your CPBS Online Account

1. Visit www.cpbsonline.ie and click Register Now.
2. Complete the registration form and click Create Account.
3. An activation email will be sent to the address you provided—click the link in that email to activate your account. (Please check your junk/spam folder)
4. Set & confirm your password.
5. Your CPBS Online account is now active.

Linking Your Online Account to Your CPBS Office Account

1. Log in to CPBS Online.
2. Go to the My Account tab, then select My Details from the dropdown menu.
3. Click the General tab.
4. Enter your CPBS Person ID and PIN, then click Save. ( The office can provide these to you where necessary)

Entering Your pony for inspection.

1. When you have successfully linked your account please navigate to the Services tab and select "Pony Inspection" from the drop down menu.
2. Select New Inspection 
3. Select the centre you would like to attend.
4. Search for the pony you would like to enter. 
5.  Chose your time slot.
6. Ensure you have selected the correct fee for your inspection type. 
7. Add change of ownership if necessary or alternatively "Not Required" if you are entering it on behalf of someone else. 
8. Adhere to the terms and conditions of the inspections and save. 
9. You can enter additional animals here if you wish by repeating the above process, alternatively click the cart icon on the top right of your screen and process payment and complete your entry. 
10. When your entry has been submitted you will receive an email from [email protected] with your receipt and transaction details.
